For example, if the main color is blue, then you might want to accent it with a different color, such as a grey or even a brown. But if the main color is black, then you might want to go ahead with black picture frames too, as they are easy to find and will definitely match the way you want them to.

What is most important is that you find picture frames that you like the look of. It might also help if you hold up the picture next to it to see if the two go together. Sometimes it helps to have a frame that offsets the major colors in the photo. Not every photo will work with a black or white picture frame; sometimes you need to go with other colors that change it up a bit.
